Cloudera and Mistral have announced a partnership to integrate Mistral's models with Cloudera’s hybrid data platform, enabling enterprises to deploy AI in private, public cloud, on-prem, and air-gapped environments while maintaining full control over their data and intelligence.
The collaboration allows organizations to train custom models against proprietary data within controlled settings, ensuring ownership of both the data and the resulting intelligence. This initiative addresses the growing demand for sovereign AI, where data, compute, and operations remain under customer-defined boundaries and jurisdictional control.
By leveraging Cloudera's platform, which manages 30 exabytes of customer-managed data, Mistral aims to help customers transition from renting generic AI to owning specialized intelligence tuned to their specific business needs.
