NVIDIA has released the Nemotron-Labs-3-Competitive-Coding model, a competitive-programming specialist fine-tuned from NVIDIA-Nemotron-3-Ultra-550B-A55B. The model was trained on synthetic reasoning traces distilled from GLM-5.2 and evaluated live on the IOI 2026 problem set.

Fine-tuned for one epoch on 477,642 synthetic reasoning traces across 22,000 curated problems from 16 contest families.
Uses GenCorrect, an iterative closed-loop test-time compute strategy to generate and refine candidate solutions.
Scored 535.4 out of 600 on the IOI 2026 set under official constraints.
Surpassed both the gold-medal threshold (361.12) and the top human contestant's score (498.27).

This achievement marks the first time an AI system has outscored the highest-scoring human contestant on an IOI problem set.
