ORTUS AI has released RightWayUp under the Apache-2.0 license, a model designed to predict image rotation angles from 0 to 359 degrees with a confidence score and the ability to abstain when uncertain.
The release includes six model sizes ranging from Pico to Max, available in ONNX (FP32, FP16, INT8) and Core ML formats. The associated dataset consists of 3,586 Blender renders created to improve robustness on CCTV-style scenes, with full training data manifests provided.
The developers note that the model is most useful for identifying confidently wrong predictions, particularly in thermal and fisheye imagery.
